Corporate Reunion
Client: A former telecommunications executive sponsored a reunion of corporate alumni.

What We Did: Developed a theme and logo, created and distributed invitations, surveyed and selected the site, previewed and contracted musicians, chose food and libations to fit into the theme and budget, designed and distributed hats and other memorabilia. At the request of the attendees, an alumni directory was compiled and made available for all alumni after the event.

What the Client Received: A magical evening of networking and re-acquaintances, including job offers!

What They Said: "Just a quick note to let you know how much we enjoyed & appreciated the get-together at Pac Bell Park last week. Congratulations for a really professionally done production. Market Research
Client: A rapidly developing telecomm company needed to test its product prior to launch in the US market.

What We Did:
  • Worked with the client to develop the trial plan.
  • Implemented the trial plan with 70 participants in 2 cities.
  • Conducted focus groups and web-based survey research
  • Summarized the findings and provided recommendations to modify the proposition prior to launch.

    What They Received: The client gained valuable insight that allowed them to make changes prior to commercial introduction. We met their extremely aggressive timeline and came in at budget.

    What They Said: The client told us that they had considered going to market without completing a market trial before launch. They felt the work we completed for them was so valuable that, "It was worth every penny and more".

    Marketing Plan
    Client: A small commercial real estate brokerage in San Francisco wanted to attract more business and revitatize their marketing program.

    What We Did:

  • Boffo reviewed current client plans and marketing programs. We helped the client to develop a mission statement, to articulate their goals and objectives and to communicate them via a logo and slogan. They refined the strategy and Boffo documented the Marketing Plan for the client.
  • Boffo created a tactical plan to track their projects and met regularly with the client to follow their progress.
  • Boffo developed a website for the client and used the marketing strategy to communicate the client's message.
  • We interviewed recent customers to identify strengths and weakness and areas for improvement for the client. In addition, we used the customer information to develop case studies for the website.

    What the Client Received: A well thought out, integrated Marketing Plan, an implementation checklist and a new website, as well as valuable customer feedback.

    Employee Recognition
    Client: A small business client who provides translation services to businesses wanted to recognize their employees for outstanding performance.

    What We Did:
  • Worked with the client to develop the plan for an event to create bonds between employees and reward their performance.
  • Scheduled a cooking class and lunch at the Culinary Academy. The employees worked together to make lunch and then got to eat their masterpiece.
  • Created customized gifts for each employee. We interviewed the employees, discovered their special passions and then surprised them with gifts to match their interests.

    What the Client Received: The client was able to say thank you in a very personally relevant way to each employee. The employees had a chance to spend time off the job working together toward a common goal and then enjoy the fruits of their labor.

    What They Said: "We were looking for a way to personally thank our employees. Boffo Productions planned a one-day event that was fun and adventurous, and a surprise lunch activity that revealed a gift customized for each employee. Evy made this a perfect day for all of us."

    Artist Reception
    Client: The manager of several jazz artists wanted an opportunity to bring her musicians together with the members of the non-profit organization that was sponsoring their San Francisco performance at the Herbst Theater.

    What We Did: Created a theme, designed the invitations, and distributed them to the non-profit and to the artists' supporters and friends, selected a time and appropriate site for the reception prior to the performance, chose the menu and bar selections, designed and created the décor, and provided giveaways coordinated with the theme and event.

    What the Client Received: A showcase for her artists and the unique opportunity for the members of the sponsoring organization to meet the artists prior to the concert.

    What She Said: "Forget Catherine Zeta-Jones. Who is Queen Latifa? Boffo Productions is 'all that jazz' and 'da bomb' in a single package. You delivered exactly what we wanted.     10 Year Anniversary
    Client: A company who handles workman's compensation claims wanted to celebrate their 10 year anniversary in two locations in California.

    What We Did:
  • Worked with the client to develop the plan for two events to thank their employees for business success and hard work.
  • In each location, Boffo set up a circus atmosphere with tarot cards readings, magicians, clowns, Elvis impersonators, caricaturists and circus food and decorations.
  • The employees were surprised with a goodie bag and a morning of entertainment and an afternoon off!

    What the Client Received: The client was able to say thank you to their employees for their success and longevity. The employees had a fun day away from work and got to be part of a special celebration.

    Meeting Planning and Implementation
    Client: A bank needed immediate assistance designing and producing two Division meetings to review year-end results and set the stage for their organization to achieve new year objectives.

    What We Did: In short order, Boffo developed the meeting theme, design, and meeting plan. We handled content, logistics at two locations and coordinated all requirements with the hotels and the technology supplier. Boffo trained facilitators for breakout sessions and facilitated the meetings. Using the meeting content, we created a leader's guide for branch roll-outs of the information.

    What the Client Received: The client had action-packed meetings that were professional, creative and accomplished the client's goals for the sessions.

    What They Said: 89% of the particitpants strongly agreed that the logistics were handled satisfactorally, 92% said the value received was worth their time.

    Non-Profit Clients

    Strategic Planning and Implementation
    Client: An all volunteer non-profit organization that provides tutoring to non-English speakers to teach them to read, write and speak English.

    What We Did: Helped the client establish their goals for 2003 and took the lead in implementing several programs to meet 2003 goals.
  • Documented the process flows within the organization
  • Worked with a team to identify and select a software package to mechanize administrative and internal communications
  • Revitilized the recruiting program to bring in new volunteers, tripling recruits in 2003
  • Developed and published a new recruiting brochure
  • Developed a waiting list database and revised tutor-student matching process
  • Developed a fundraising program, wrote funding grants

    What the Client Received: Much needed help to establish their strategy and document their annual goals, tactical assistance with implementation of several programs.

    What They Said: "Judy Bradford has worked the past two years for Diablo Valley Literacy Council, a non-profit organization dedicated to teaching English to low-income adults who wish to learn to speak, read and write English as their second language.     Launch Dinner
    Client: The client was launching a non-profit organization that incubates social entrepreneurship. She needed help planning and putting on a dinner for 160 people in San Francisco. Her objective was to take in enough money in tickets and donations to cover the event.

    What We Did: Boffo helped the client define the objectives for the evening and handled all the arrangements for the dinner including helping the client to select a menu, suggesting a theme and developing the program for the evening. In addition, Boffo handled all the logisitics and worked with a volunteer committee to help them meet their objectives for the party.

    What the Client Received: Boffo provided project management and coordination for the event which enabled the client to focus on her launch and her guests. The dinner was sold out with over 160 leading business and social innovators in attendance. The client received more than $30k in individual, corporate and small business sponsorships and contributions, exceeding her goal.

    What She Said: "You are a powerhouse of poise and purpose, and thank you falls far short of my gratitude for all you have done. The evening's success was clearly in no small measure all thanks to your superb support. Thank you for your skill, patience, precision and commitment. Several people have asked about the organization behind the dinner and I have been ushering them your way."

    Personal Events

    Wedding Day Project Management
    Client: A financial manager had planned her wedding with the same professional dedication that she uses on her job. She wanted to enjoy the day by not continuing in that role.

    What We Did: Boffo met with the client to establish the tone of the wedding and how the day should flow. From there, Boffo met with the vendors, did a site survey and determined key details that needed to be managed, preparation that is essential in assuring that the day progressed as the bride desired. Boffo's role was to manage all aspects of the day, to minimize potential problem areas, coordinate the activity flow and provide the bride with peace of mind.

    What the Client Received: The bride was able to forget about managing the event and simply concentrated on enjoying her special day.

    What She Said: ""My wedding was everything I dreamed of, thanks to my fabulous wedding planner. She and her staff helped me with difficult decisions before the wedding related to my flowers, music, marriage service, etc. They provided a schedule for each member of the wedding party at the rehearsal.     Wedding Party Event
    Client: A fitness trainer and teacher fiancée were searching for a way to entertain their out-of-town family and friends prior to the wedding day.

    What We Did: Boffo created a Wedding Winery Tour for the bride, groom, family and friends. Boffo designed a logo to reflect the couple's personalities, created a T-shirt gift for the participants, arranged for the bus transportation to and from Napa, wine tastings, tours and lunch.

    What the Client Received: The clients were able to enjoy spending time with their guests and enjoy a delightful tour of the Wine Country.

    What They Said: " A few days prior to our wedding, my fiancé and some of our out-of-town wedding guests went on a lovely wine tour through the Sonoma Valley. Evy organized the tour flier, transportation, the tours of the wineries, a delicious lunch, souvenir t-shirts, and the music for the rides there and back. It was such a great thing to do because everyone was able to relax and have a fabulous time while seeing some beautiful parts of California.     Wedding Coordination
    Client: A couple, with plans to marry on New Year's Eve, asked Boffo to handle the coordination of their special day.

    What We Did: Boffo met with the client to establish the tone of the wedding and how the day should flow. From there, Boffo met with the vendors, did a site survey and determined key details that needed to be managed, preparation that is essential in assuring that the day progressed as the bride desired. Boffo's role was to manage all aspects of the day, to minimize potential problem areas, coordinate the activity flow and provide the bride with peace of mind.

    What the Client Received: The happy couple was able to enjoy a wonderful New Year's Eve with a wedding that went without a hitch.

    What They Said: "Every bride and groom wants their wedding to be a special and unique occasion that they will remember for the rest of their lives.
